  Makita Cordless Belt Sander | 40Vmax XGT | 76mm x 533mm Belt

  
  This powerful machine from Makita is a completely self-contained belt sander with capabilities and performance rivaling many fixed sanders. It is capable of this thanks to the XGT battery platform where the batteries operate at up to 40 Volts. The top handle position can be adjusted to where it suits you, and if you look at the right side of the machine, as well as the front side, you can see that the BS001G is capable of sanding flush against a wall and even into a corner.
  
  Supplied in the box is a dust bag which securely fastens to the dust port; alternatively you can add an AWS chip to give the sander wireless connectivity with corded or cordless dust extractors, whereby the sander tells the extractor when to start and stop. At the front of the machine is a powerful LED work light, whose angle can be easily adjusted to suit. There is a speed adjustment dial that allows you to set the belt speed as low as 120 metres per minute, or as fast as 470 m/min. The sander takes a 76mm wide belt with 533mm length. The top of the machine is designed so that you can flip it upside down, clamp it to a work surface, and use it as a stationary sander, great for smaller work pieces.
