  Wirelessly detect temperature with this "Temp-Gun" from Milwaukee. It operates at a 10:1 ratio, meaning that the size of the spot that is measured is ten times smaller than the distance from the surface. So at a distance of 5 metres from a surface, you're measuring the temperature in a circle 50cm in diameter.
  
  You can measure temperatures in Celsius from as low as -30°C up to a maximum of 400°C. This version of the Temp-Gun takes a 9V battery which can give up to 12 hours continuous runtime, which can equate to months of real-world usage. The high quality screen is very easy to read, and even has a backlight to allow you to read it more clearly in either direct sunlight or low-light conditions.
