Makita 40Vmax Cordless Body Grip Jigsaw | 2 x 2.5Ah XGT Batteries
Supplied in a MakPac Type 3 Connector Case, this kit from the powerful Makita 40Vmax XGT range features the JV001G jigsaw, a barrel or body grip style which lacks the top handle. This gives you two main advantages over a top handle jigsaw. The first is visibility, as the D-handle does not get in the way. The second positive feature is that you have more control over the placement and direction of the jigsaw blade, as you're holding the jigsaw closer to its blade.
The 40Vmax XGT range operates at twice the voltage of LXT, giving you more overhead for working with harder materials and when working longer. This kit comes with two battery packs which each have a capacity of 2.5 Amp-hours and use well-proven Lithium-ion technology. These batteries are compatible with XGT 40Vmax and XGT 80Vmax, of which the range has expanded to over 150 tools since its inception.
The JV001G has a soft-no-load feature that slows the motor speed when a load is not detected on the blade, however if you don't like this feature, you can simply disable it. There is also a control for varying the pendulum action depending on the application required.
