DeWalt Hog Ring Impact Wrench | 1/2" Square Drive | With 2 x 5.0Ah PowerStack Batteries
This impact wrench from DeWalt is the replacement for the DCF899, now with an even greater power output. The fan cooled brushless DC motor can deliver an immense 1396 Nm of torque and the impact mechanism can operate 1,800 times per minute, or 30 times per second. Both the DCF900 and the included 5.0 Amp-hour PowerStack batteries have received excellent reviews from YouTube's Torque Test Channel. The impact wrench has a half inch square drive anvil with hog-ring socket retention. 1/2" square drive is a common size for high torque applications, making this suitable for many users' existing collections of 1/2" impact rated sockets and other accessories.
The two PowerStack batteries in this kit are the second generation of their new pouch cell battery pack. Using pouches, like what you would find in phones, drones, tablets, laptops and more, allows it to be more space efficient. Because there is a greater selection of voltages and capacities of pouch cells for DeWalt to select from compared to cylindrical cells (normally only 18650 or 21700s), they can select the most optimal combination and get the best output for high draw power tools, with a perfect example being this DCF900. DeWalt are so confident in the lifetime of these new PowerStack batteries that they are allowing extended warranties for 3 years on both the Compact PowerStack Batteries (1.7Ah) and the 5.0Ah PowerStack batteries, compared to a maximum of 1 year on cylindrical cell batteries.
