A high quality universal power supply from Mercury that allows you to replace a lost or damaged power supply for a range of electronic devices, with a range of different power sockets. We use these in-house to power barcode scanners, and they use 25% less power than the OEM transformer based power supply. Another advantage of switchmode power supplies is that it will work with an input AC voltage as low as 100 Volts, and up to 240 Volts, on either 50 or 60 Hertz frequency. There is a voltage selection switch on the back of the plug with options for 3V, 4.5V, 5V, 6V, 7.5V, 9V and 12V. The 5V option also allows you to use this to power 1A/12W USB devices, via the included female USB socket. There are seven barrel connector jacks included, plus a 3.5mm jack, and the USB socket. The various sizes of barrel jack can either be centre-positive or centre-negative based on the convenient diagrams on either side of each jack. The USB socket is keyed to prevent insertion the wrong way.
