  This kettle from Makita massively improves upon their previous cordless hot drinks machine, the DCM501 coffee machine. The DKT360 moves to the Twin-18V platform, still capable of operating from the LXT battery packs, but now taking advantage of two connected in series to deliver 36 Volts of power to the heating element. While it's not as fast as a corded kettle (who would really expect that), it can still bring the full capacity of 800ml of water to the boil in around 9 minutes - still plenty quick for your tea break. Operating the unit with two fully charged 5.0 Amp-hour batteries, you can expect to be able to make about 6 cups of tea or coffee.
