  This premium machine from Makita is designed for professionals who regularly install drywall/plasterboard. The time saved by not needing to position and place each and every one of your screws onto a drill driver or impact driver allows this to pay for itself quickly, especially on large jobs like whole house or office renovations. This is the body only (or -Z) version of the DFR551, which means it does not come with a battery or charger. This keeps the price lower for the many tradesmen who already own 18V LXT Lithium-ion battery packs.
  
  The DFR551 screwdriver has an impressive seven positive-lock screw length settings for 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 and 55mm long screws. For setting the depth that the screw gets driven, there is a large and easy to use adjustment dial. There are three mains ways you could use the DFR551, the first being the same way you would with a drill driver; press the trigger and push the screw into the plasterboard, then let go and move on to the next one. The next option is to keep the trigger pressed as you move along the perimeter of the sheet, pressing each time you want to deposit a screw. In this mode you can even lock the trigger in the on position. The last option is push-drive mode which is used in conjunction with the lock-on switch plus an electronic switch that only starts the motor when pressure is applied to the screw against the plasterboard.
