  Makita Plate/Biscuit Jointer | 18v LXT | DPJ180 Bare Unit

  
  This is basically the 18V LXT BGA452 angle grinder but with a specialised modification to allow easy cutting of biscuit slots. That means it has the same ergonomic body, aluminium housing and hardened steel gear train as the grinder. The DPJ180 takes 18 Volt Lithium-ion battery packs in the LXT range from Makita, but is not supplied with any in order to keep the costs down for those who likely already own other 18V LXT tools and batteries. The jointer uses 100mm diameter blades that are 4mm in thickness to allow cutting of the right size slots for all universal biscuits. It spins up to 6,500 rpm with no load, allowing fast and easy cutting of the slots in a variety of timber types. The head of this cutter has excellent adjustability, allowing the fence to be locked in at angles between 0° and 90°. This allows you to do edge-to-edge jointing, mitre jointing, frame jointing, corner butt jointing, T-butt jointing and more.
