  Makita 1,250 Lumen Torch | 18V LXT | DML812 Bare Unit | Olive Edition

  
  This work light from Makita, the model DML812, features 4 modes of operation via the mode button on the foot of the tool. The first three are cycled through by single presses of the button, giving you a focused lens beam spotlight that can reach up to 640 metres or a flood light that spreads light over a large area, or a combination of the two for even more light at the cost of battery life. The fourth mode is accessed by pressing the mode button for more than 3 seconds, putting it into strobe mode, useful as a warning light on site or at the roadside. This takes all 18V LXT slide battery packs, and uses the weight of the battery to allow it to be rested on a surface. The torch also has a hook built into it to give you the option of hanging it up above head height. The head of the unit can swivel around 90 degrees.
