DeWalt Brushless Compact 12V XR Circular Saw | 140mm | DCS512 Bare Unit
This circular saw from the ever-growing 12V XR range of compact power tools is extremely capable considering the small size, and is able to cut up to a maximum depth of 47mm. It can also bevel up to a maximum of 50 degrees. When angled at 45° it can cut to a depth of 33mm.
The saw takes blades which are 140mm in diameter and have a bore diameter of 20mm, and is even supplied with a 24 tooth saw blade to get you started. This is the body only version of the saw - not supplied with batteries or charger, ideal if you are adding to your collection of 12V tools and already own 12V XR Li-ion battery packs.
One of the most anticipated features on this saw is the rafter hook, providing a safe and convenient way to stow the tool between cuts. However the base of the tool has a standard automatic blade guard, and the blade has an electronic brake to slow it quicker - allowing you to set the tool down on a surface without worrying about damage.
The DCS512 has improved ergonomics over older generation XR circular saws, and has a front handle and rubberised trigger grip to make it much more comfortable to guide the saw through the material.
