This incredibly versatile and useful tool from Makita's LXT range of cordless power tools allows you to remove and fasten nuts and bolts in extremely tight spaces such as in the engine bay and underbody of cars, trucks and motorcycles. It is powered by a single 18 volt LXT Lithium-ion battery pack, excluded from this kit to allow a lower price, ideal for those who already own plenty of LXT batteries.
The head of the tool rotates a 13mm 12-point "spanner" that can be used to drive a threaded rod right through the head. To use with sockets, you simply attach one of the two included square drive adaptors which snap securely into place. The DWR180 comes with a 1/4" adaptor and a 3/8" adaptor.
With the tool powered off, it operates just like a regular ratchet wrench. This gives you the ability to remove or fasten bolts above the machines maximum fastening torque of 47.5 Nm, or even just confirm the tightness of bolts by feel. To help you see clearer in hard to access areas, the end of the tool body has a powerful LED work light which uses minimal power while producing excellent illumination.
