Makita Split-Shaft 18V Bike-Handle Strimmer | 5.0Ah Battery
This strimmer from Makita is ideal for professional gardeners or homeowners with large areas of land. It is part of the extensive 18v LXT platform and is supplied with 1 x 5.0Ah battery pack, but is of course compatible with all 18V LXT batteries.
The DUR191U has a U shaped bike-style handle for excellent control in combination with the included shoulder strap. The controls are moved from the shaft to the right hand handlebar that gives quick access to all the functions of the string trimmer.
The functions that you can control are the three speeds, with a no load speed of 3,500, 5,100 or 6,000 rpm, the reverse operation for getting unjammed, and the two-stage safety control trigger.
This machine can actually be quickly and easily split into two parts in the middle of the shaft. This allows for much easier storage and transportation, making it small enough to fit in most cars.
