  A high performance dust extraction unit from Makita that carries a class M rating, meaning that it removes 99.9% of dust. This makes it an excellent choice for professional tradesmen who want a machine that they can rely on to keep them safe when working with materials like mica, gypsum, silica and wood.
  
  If you opt for the 230 volt version of the machine, you get the addition of a PTO socket, or Power Take-Off. This allows you to plug another 230 volt machine into the front of the dust extractor and when you switch on the power-tool, the dust extraction automatically starts. The 110 volt version does not have this feature however.
  
  The VC3012M is a wet and dry vacuum, allowing you to use it with up to 30 litres of dry dust or up to 19 litres of liquid. This makes it great for cleaning up water spillages, light flooding and even wet carpet cleaning. To prevent overflowing the 19L capacity, there is a float which closes off the intake of the hose to prevent leakages.
  
  The filter can be cleaned quickly and easily with the push and clean system, allowing for less down time. The dust extractor comes with a generous 7.5 metres of power cable to give you plenty of range and less moving of the plug.
