The DCW604 is lightweight and compact so it can be used with ease for extended periods without tiring the user. This kit comes with a single 5 Amp-hour battery for those who are just starting out with DEWALT's 18V XR range, or for those wanting a dedicated or extra battery for this machine. The motor in the router is of the brushless type which requires minimal maintenance and runs at a higher efficiency for longer battery runtime. It uses soft-start technology to avoid the unpleasant jolt that often comes from high speed machines like this, and also features an electronic brake for added safety. To help you see while you work there are two bright LED lights which illuminates the workpiece and helps to reduce shadows.
