  More than just a novelty item, this beanie is exceptionally functional with four super bright SMD LEDs (Surface Mounted Light Emitting Diode). The light module is located in the rim of the beanie hat and has a easy-to-locate power button in the centre. The first press of the switch turns the light on at full brightness, the second to a lower brightness, and the third to the lowest/power saving brightness that can last up to 5 hours on a single charge at 120 lumens.
  
  The light output from the beanie is cool-white in a flood type pattern. Charging the beanie is convenient due to it being compatible with ordinary USB with a full size USB plug, meaning you can easily charge it from a laptop or your phone charging block. The unit is fully charged from empty in only 2 hours allowing 5 hours constant light.
  
  The light unit pops out of the beanie allowing you to hand or machine wash the fabric while charging the battery. This beanie would be ideal for walking, jogging, camping or even site work during cold weather. It also makes you visible to vehicles when walking on roads without footpaths.
