  To replace the DCM561P1, this brushless strimmer from DeWALT now comes with a split shaft for easier shipping and long term storage. The package length has been cut almost in half from the original 172cm to just 90cm. The DCM561P1S-GB is safe to use in protected environment areas, where noise or exhaust pollution may be restricted, due to being powered by an 18V Lithium-Ion battery, making it completely cordless but still powerful enough at 400 Max Watts Out (MWO).
  
  With a brushless motor and DeWalt's 3 year (after registration) guarantee you can be sure of the reliability and peace of mind from this DeWalt outdoor tool. Complete with a 5 Amp-hour capacity battery using the eXtended-Runtime technology pioneered by DeWalt you should be able to get a huge amount of runtime out of each battery. The DCM561P1S string trimmer has a 2 speed control to pick between longer runtime or higher performance as well as a fully variable trigger allowing for finer finger speed control.
