How to Get the Perfect Decking Finish

Posted: 26 March 2014
Nobody likes to tackle a daunting task like repainting or oiling the decking in time for the summer. Some genius from Ronseal has come up with the Perfect Decking Applicator to help make that back breaking work easier!

Ronseal Decking Applicator:

The Ronseal Perfect Finish Decking Applicator Complete Assembly comes with everything that you need to get the job done faster. The Ronseal decking applicator pads have been proven to make a quick and easier job of painting or oiling your decking.

The extra durable applicator pads lasts well against rough decking timber whilst giving a smooth and even finish to your point and oil. If you need to paint or oil a large area of decking replacement applicator pads are also available for the applicator.

3 Easy Steps to Give Your Decking the Perfect Finish:

Step One:

Give your decking a good clean with the Ronseal Decking Finish Stripper and a stiff bristle brush. This will help to lift the old finish of the decking while removing any dirt before you paint or oil to give a better finish.

Step Two:

Assemble the Ronseal perfect finish decking applicator using the instructions in the pack. Then dip the applicator pad evenly into the paint or oil (no need to soak it!).

Step Three:

Best to start in the furthest corner of your deck, push and pull the pad down the direction of the decking boards in large smooth strokes. Be sure not to overlap any boards as you may mark them. If you use stain or oil you can re-coat after 4 hours.
