While you are away for periods of time your plants still need watered and if you don't have a neighbour or family member to help, it can prove quite difficult.
Fortunately we have a great solution,
the Holiday Plant Saver. Each plant saver contains a sachet containing an organic thickening agent which, when mixed with water, creates a gel that is slowly absorbed by your plants. This gel can keep plants watered for at least two weeks at a time, making it the ideal solution for watering plants while on holiday.
How to use Holiday Plant Savers:
1. Remove the plant pot from any pot cover or container.
2. Water the plant thoroughly, allowing it to drain completely. This stage is important.
3. Cut the pouch along the line and remove the sachet found inside.
4. Open the pouch to allow the contents to fit.
5. Open the sachet and empty the contents into the pouch.
6. Add around 400ml of cold water into the pouch.
7. Stir the contents for a few minutes until the water has turned into a lumpy gel.
8. Gently place the plant pot into the middle of the pouch.
9. Keep the plant out of direct sunlght and store in a cool place.
Holiday Plant Savers are for indoor house plants only and are not suitable for bonsai, orchids or cacti.
Your plant saver will keep a medium sized* pot plant watered for at least 2 weeks (often 3).
*3 - 6" (7.5 - 15cm) top diameter.
