  Tracer Magnetic Stud Finder

  
  This stud finder from the company that brought you the Hole Marking Pencil, this stud finder uses simple magnetics to pick up on the screws or nails holding plasterboard sheets to the studwork. You simply move the stud finder steadily over the surface in a 'Z' pattern until you feel it get attracted to a screw. You can then pop one of the two smaller magnets off the top of the finder to temporarily mark the position while you then find the next stud. These bright green markers give you an excellent visual representation of the stud locations while you decide the best course of action for mounting the shelving, television bracket, etc.
