DeWalt 1/2" Router with 70mm Plunge | DCW620 Bare Unit in Case
This is the body only version of the DCW620, supplied without batteries or charger, making it perfect if you already own any 18 Volt XR battery packs including original 18V XR, XR PowerStack or XR FlexVolt. It comes in a deep T-Stak case along with several accessories including a side fence, 2 sub bases, 1/2" collet, 1/4" collet and more.
The DCW620 is a 1/2" router, allowing it to tackle heavier duty jobs, even including cope and stick routing. The brushless DC motor in this router has been rated to an incredible 2.25HP (using a PowerStack battery). The electronics monitor the loading on the motor many times per second, allowing the output power to compensate for heavy loading and maintain the speed you set. There are seven different speed settings, with 1 being 11,000 rpm and 7 being 23,000 rpm.
The router can be fitted with 12mm, 1/2", 8mm, 1/4" and 6mm collets, with both the imperial sizes being included in the box. The inclusion of the quarter inch collet is a fantastic idea by DeWalt, as they know there will be people upgrading from the 1/4" router who already own many 1/4" shank cutters. There is dust extraction built right into the plunge rail on one side allowing you to attach dust extraction systems which are compatible with DeWalt AirLock.
