DeWalt Portable Mid-Size Band Saw | DCS378 Bare Unit
Supplied without batteries or charger, but being compatible with any 18V XR battery including FlexVolt, this bandsaw from DeWalt is an electrician or plumber's dream. It has a cutting capacity of 86mm, and is designed so that the angle of the cut gives more flexibility for pushing through the material. Onboard is a brushless DC motor whose speed can be controlled both by a speed control dial and by the pressure applied to the trigger. This allows you to get right down to a crawl to either reduce cutting temperatures, or slow the cutting speed for more sensitive projects. The tracking is quick and easy to adjust with the onboard-stored hex key, which is actually stored in the lever for blade tensioning. Release this lever, open the two metal catches, swing the door open, and you have access to the blade. Other adjustments are the work-stop which can slide forward or backwards to provide more support.
