DeWalt 1/2" Hogring Impact Wrench | DCF961 with 2x 5.0Ah PowerStack Batteries
This incredible powertool from DeWalt is their latest and greatest 1/2" impact wrench. It is more powerful than the recent DCF900 (an upgraded version of the DCF899). This new DCF961 is now pushing the limit of what 1/2" sockets can handle, but keeping it at 1/2" gives the widest range of fastener sizes available to you.
DeWalt are making PowerStack batteries the new normal for demanding applications, with this kit being supplied with two 5.0 Amp-hour capacity PowerStack batteries. This allows the batteries to keep up with the demands required from the powertool, it's brushless DC motor, the planetary gear system, and the heavy impact mechanism.
Comparing the DCF900 and DCF961 side by side, you can see that this is a brand new machine from the ground up. It is capable of an output power of up to 870 Watts. That translates to a maximum fastening torque of up to 1,626 Nm, and a breakaway (or nut-busting) torque of 2,372.
With heavy breakaway challenges, after a few seconds of full power, the electronics kick in some extra power. This high torque impact wrench is supplied with the aforementioned two 5.0Ah PS batteries, as well as a multi-voltage XR battery charger, in a T-Stak II kit box.
