Makita 40Vmax XGT Cordless 125mm Angle Grinder | GA050G with 2x 2.5Ah Batteries
An angle grinder designed for professionals in Makita's relatively new 40 Volt range of power tools. These tools feature brushless DC motors operating at up to 40 Volts for extreme performance, longer battery runtime, reduced maintenance requirements and better supporting features. These features made possible by the brushless motor include AFT, XPT and an electronic brake. AFT is the most impressive of these features, which stands for Active Feedback sensing Technology. This monitors the speed of the tool many times per second, and detects a sudden slowdown while the trigger is still engaged. If this happens it uses the electronic brake feature to near instantly stop the motor, reducing the chances of injury during a kickback or pinch.
This kit featuring the GA050G includes two 40Vmax XGT battery packs which each have a capacity of 2.5 Amp-hours. These batteries use Lithium-ion technology, and the 2.5Ah capacity is the perfect size for this tool due to the weight. The kit of course also includes a charger, the fan cooled DC40RA, which is capable of charging each battery to 80% in 19 minutes, or 28 minutes for a full charge (the last 20% charges slower for better battery health). There is a side handle which can be attached to either the right or left hand side, a normal guard, plus additional snap on protective guard for use with cutting discs. Finally, a high quality 125mm inox (stainless steel) grinding disc is included to get you started right away.
