This combi drill from Makita is the DHP484, a powerful machine with 13mm keyless chuck, brushless DC motor, adjustable torque limit, and hammer drilling functionality. These all make it an excellent all-rounder for the professional or DIY user wanting to drill into timber, masonry or metal, and driving screws into the same.
The brushless motor makes the drill virtually maintenance-free, without having to worry about changing brushes. It is also adapted to give better cooling performance, therefore wasting less energy and getting better runtime from the including 5.0 Amp-hour Lithium-ion battery pack. The motor allows a maximum torque level of 54 Nm.
The drill, charger and battery pack are all supplied in a blow moulded case, along with a generous selection of drilling and screwdriving accessories. The set includes nut drivers, slotted bits, Pozidriv bits, Phillips bits, hex bits, Torx bits, drill bit size guide, bit driving handle, hole saw set, drywall bit, countersink, depth stops, spade drill bits, centre punch, brad point drill bits, HSS drill bits, masonry drill bits and spirit level. All these accessories are stored in the top part of the drill case, with a place-for-everything.
