  This barrel grip or body grip jigsaw from Makita has been specially designed with user comfort in mind. It lacks a top handle as many tradesmen and woodworkers have observed that having a handle so far above the cutting surface makes it harder to control. The special design of this jigsaw gives you three different locations that you can place your hand for greater control. The first would be around the barrel of the machine at the rear, next would be around the body where the rubberised grip is, and finally there is the nub at the top of the machine, which gives even better control when you want to make smooth curved cuts.
  
  The 4351FCT jigsaw is a corded machine and is available in either 110 volt or 230 volt variants depending on if the machine is primarily going to be used on site or in a workshop. It would also be an ideal addition to the avid DIYer's toolbox as it is easy to use thanks in part to the orbital action of the blade. This allows much quicker and aggressive cuts as the orbiting action keeps as little blade in contact with the material as possible. This increases the pressure applied to that point and allows you to near-effortlessly push the machine through wood up to 135mm thick.
