1. Ray Grahams has been a family run independent business for over 40 years. It has now become one of the largest in the UK and Ireland.
2. Ray Grahams has had three premise changes over the last 40 years, but has always remained on the Donaghadee Road in Newtownards. Every move saw an increase in size to accommodate the vast stock held in our store.

At Ray Grahams we pride ourselves as being one of the best builders merchants in the UK, winning numerous awards such as Best Independent Builders Merchants, Britain's Best Tool Retailer and Britain's Best Hardware Retailer. We also hold the prestigious titles of Bosch BBS Super Store and DeWalt Super Centre that are only awarded to the best tool retailers.
4. The reason Ray Grahams keeps winning so many awards has been put down to Ray's impressive collection of lucky Buddhas. Ray has collected more than 30 Buddhas with the largest one at the entrance to the shop.
5. Ray Grahams started as a small DIY store supplying paint, timber and hardware to the local town. We have now expanded to a large Builders and DIY enthusiasts ‘megastore’ and our website currently has over 35,000 products with many more being added everyday.
6. We currently employ 33 people dealing with all aspects of the business from internet sales to sales assistants. Our team deal with all enquires quickly and professionally with the best customer service possible.
7. The boss always says ‘stock all the colours, in all the sizes, all of the time’ but on the odd occasion when we don't have what you need, we will contact our suppliers and try to source it for you.
8. The store has been described as the "Aladdin's Cave of DIY" due to the vast range of products that we stock. With our dedicated showrooms for hardware, ironmongery, fixings, tools, bathroom suites, doors and door furniture, stoves, power tools and accessories we really do have everything including the kitchen sink.
9. All our staff are fully trained and on hand 7 days a week to help you in any way we can. We will answer any questions you might have about a product or part, helping you get the job done.
