Look out for the key features of each safe such as cash and valuables ratings, the fire resistance and protection rating or if it has been drop tested.

The fire rating can be just as important as how secure the safe is. If you have a safe that doesn’t have a fire rating and you have stored all your insurance documents in the safe then there is a chance that the documents could be burnt along with the safe. The fire protection rating tells you how long the safe will protect documents, valuable and digital media such as memory sticks.
