10 DIY Projects That Create A Luxurious Atmosphere

Posted: 28 February 2017
I can tell you from what I know and what I have seen, the designs and finishing of houses designers build today are way different from what trended let's say 6-7-8 years ago. Today's house structures would literally make a style-conscious, home loving mafia wife like bringing down their 10year old house and raising it again from the foundations in a modern style.

Today, you would find houses that are not so big but have everything that would make a man always want to go home to his family. If you do a check, you would notice that these houses may not be all that expensive, yet the luxury enjoyed from the abode is infinite.

Now, what if you can actually do some "really affordable tweaking" on your house style and have it rated as high as the house designs featured in Home Style magazines.

There are actually some things you can do. Take a DIY project on and have your house looking completely dashing over the next one month (Actually, the duration depends on how steadfast you are with the project. All the project ideas shared below can be built in less than 2 weeks)

If you need any clarity on how you can build any of these or what resources you would need, please make use of the utility button tagged "customer service" up-right. Or drop a comment in the comment box far below and we would happily assist you.

SMART & ADORABLE DIY IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR HOUSE MORE LUXURIOUS.

1. Outdoor Barbeque Area:

Talking about beauty, this project definitely packs bunches of it. You don't necessarily have to be BBQ kind of person to love this project. Tell you what, if you have my kind of funny and adorable friends, you wouldn't think about building this project twice.

A little secret... "You could even get an old cabinet or purchase one then return it to something your friends would be envious of.

2. Beautiful Stenciled Walls:

Stencilled Walls

Doing a little tweak to those bare walls in your corridor, rooms or bathrooms can have a great impact on how you see your home. The amazing thing you would love is that this project is very affordable. You don't necessarily have to spend a lot to achieve this, yet it would give your house that luxurious atmosphere you want.

3. Stainless Accessories Bathroom:

Stainless bathroom accessories

The major reason luxurious homes stick to stainless bathroom accessories is not the aura emanating from its look. It is actually the fact that they don't easily go off trend and they are easy to clean. Any wife/girlfriend who takes cleanliness seriously would understand what trouble it gives to clean a non-stainless bathroom accessory. If you fancy a good bathroom makeover, just bear in mind that about 65% of the DIY success depends on the bathroom accessories you install. They do not need to be overly expensive, just make sure they are stainless. Except for a few accessories that are better in other materials.

4. Give your house an awesome night-view:

Lit up house

Ever wonder how these guys with houses of nocturnal beauty manage their light bills??? I will tell you how. "THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO BILLS". They have installed an inverter for renewable energy. That's the trick. Installing an inverter would definitely help in giving your house a luxurious look, while also saving you money on your outdoor lighting. Yes, you can call those guys "smart", who doesn't wanna save cost? you? me? I wanna save cost. It is necessary that you talk to an expert about this project. Electricity is pretty hazardous and it is not something you would want to play with.

5. Build a Sliding Door: Ok, now this is what I call "class"

Sliding doors

A little secret... "You can even reuse your old door for this project, just get the slide rail + a good wood-hole concealer, and you would be on top of your game. Though it wouldn't be as beautiful as when you use an actual sliding door" Actual sliding doors designed for sliding functions would definitely give a more luxurious look.

6. Make Vinyl Walls:

Vinyl Walls

It is as simple and luxurious as it looks. Vinyl wall covers come in types and designs. There had been great controversies amongst interior decorators on Vinyl walls and Stencil walls. The observation is that Vinyl decor gives a better aura when it is done on the wall behind the TV. Although it largely depends on what you like. If you are more intrigued by the fantasy of putting stencils on your home walls, then stencil wall is your game. And if your amazement comes from the idea of having your home walls covered in beautiful Vinyl decor then Vinyl wall is for you. They both give luxurious looks.

7. Make some Pallet Furniture:

Pallet Furniture

They may look utterly expensive but trust me, this is one hell of an affordable project you need to take up. One secret... "Even when you see some other Pallet furniture you like or prefer, you can dismantle the one you have already built and rebuild your new found love. As long as the pallet would be enough, if not you may need to acquire a few more. Pallets are more like Legos" and a furniture built from pallets is so magnificent and it's worth having.

8. Build a Patio Or Decking:

Outdoor Decking

A patio would not only add luxury to your house, it would turn your house into a mini villa! This is definitely a great way to deal with the vacant space in the backyard. Add a few accessories to it like some beautiful outdoor pallet chairs, a patio heater, and roll your BBQ grill to the spot, then watch your family love you more. You may need to bear in mind that the most beautiful patios have a glass top. Though having a patio with a glass roof would be amazing, you can build one without a roof and still have your home gain a luxurious look. We are trying to save cost here, aren’t we?

9. Create an Amazing Doorway Garden:

Porch

No matter how small it is, this would definitely add some aura to your house. As long as you don't let it overgrow or look uncared for. If you aren't intimate with plastering or brick work (like the image shown) then you are probably best undertaking this project as a timber structure or alternatively get a professional to do it. If you do decide to use timber there is a multitude of items available in the market.

For instance using fence panels and 4 x 4 posts with a concrete foundation or a bolt down

10. Add a Bird house in your garden:

Bird Houses

If you have No.9 mentioned above or intend to create one, then you probably need to add a bird house to pack up your house luxury with some more natural beauty. Artificial goes with artificial, Natural goes with natural. Adding a bird house in your garden for visiting birds to perch on would not only give your house a luxurious look, it would also renew your inner peace. Just imagine beautiful birds visiting your garden often, you would get a glimpse of the "inner peace" I'm talking about. I personally love anything that would create peace in me.

So there you go, guys. Putting up a luxurious house is actually not as expensive as it seems. Although you would need to spend some money but it definitely isn't as requiring as hollywood makes it seem. Be bold and take up that project you have always dreamt of.
