Small Wallpaper Bubbles

Unless your professional or simply a dab hand at DIY; wallpapering is often one of the most challenging decorating tasks out there. It's alsmost an art trying to achieve a smooth bubble-less finish. If you have tried your hand at wallpapering and have noticed small bubbles. Instead of stripping and relaying the sheet, try using an injectable adhesive such as the Araldite clear syring glue to stick and smooth the bubble.

Chairs Wearing Away The Floors

Definitely one of my pet hates at home is the gradual wearing away of my decorative kitchen lino thanks to my dining chair legs. This is also applicable in a range of rooms and furniture from the sofa legs damaging the wooden floor or the bed legs wearing the carpet. So how do you prevent it? Felt pads: thats right felt pads costing a mere £1.36 can prevent your floor been damaged from now on.

Self Opening Doors

Im sure everyone can agree that having an automatic self opening door at home is one of the most annoying things. A simple fix involves pulling out one of the hinge pins and striking its midpoint with a hammer to bend it. Then re-insert. Doing this gives it enough resistance to prevent the unwanted movement.

Damaged & Banging Cupboard Doors

Now a days most new kitchen designs will include soft closing door hinges to protect your cupboard doors from damage. However if you aren't fortunate enough to have them and don't want to pay over and above the odds the Bluemotion Soft Close Door Buffer will protect your cupboards offering soft close features and not requiring any intricate installation.

Blocked Guttering

Who suffers from blocked gutters? It's a bloody curse if you ask me. Especially with the recent UK weather there has been a significant increase in high winds and rain causing my gutters to overflow bringing with it all the dirt of the day; making my houses facade look grimey and worn, never mind the flooding. However we discovered an easy fix to unblock your gutters. DRAIN RODS. They are long and flexible (generally designed to be pushed down) they can infact be pushed up a gutter in order to clean them out. With a brushed extention it gives the gutters a clean like none before.

Painted Doors Sticking To The Frame

Anyone that has painted any door without bothering or wanting to unhinge it will more than likely experienced this problem; Where you paint the door and it sticks to the frame, ruining the paint and making using the door generally harder. One fantastic way to prevent the stickig of frame to door is to add some natural household wax to the door frame. That way it will temporarily hinder adhesion maintaining clean performance and finish.

Fading Fences

Finding the time to paint and decorate is probably the hardest part of starting a job. If you find yourself becoming disheartened with the look of your old and fading garden fence then there is still hope. There is no real need to completely repaint the fence with multiple coats. Use a simple paint sprayer like the Ronseal hand pump. Using sprayers to rectify faded fence patches also gives a more consistent finish, so you can't differentiate between the old and new paints.

Dogs Ruining The Lawn

If you are a dog lover then you'll know all about this problem; where the toxicity of your pets urine gradually wears away at the garden lawn causing brown patches and in time causing it to die. It's not the nicest garden feature to have but there are ways to prevent it. One of the most eccentric methods we've come accross involves the use of tomato juice. Feeding your dog tomato juice with meals actually neutralizes the Ph content of the urine which essentially causes the deterrioration of your lawn. Imagine that!
