Dewalt DCS365M2 18V Cordless Mitre Saw 4.0Ah

The year 2015 has been a massive year for alot of power tool manufacturers with regards the development of technological design and advancement. The year 2015 started off with the release and design of a fantastic range of highly developed, ergonomic and quite frankly outstanding power tools from top brands Dewalt and Milwaukee and there has been a clear rivalry between power tool giants with each trying to outdo each other. The year saw Milwaukee continually adding to their M18 range of cordless power tools where they later incorporated their patented smart REDLINK technology; their rival to the Dewalt XR Li-Ion batteries and cordless power tool range. With that been said it's been a fantastic year of innovation for both companies.

Now we all know that Dewalt had made big plans in 2015 and now as 2016 starts to creep in; they have made some huge announcements with the expected addition of a handful of much wanted tools to add to their cordless XR product Range.

So What Can We Expect?

In the first quarter of 2016 we're set to see quite a large number of products to be released into the DIY and construction world. As you know Ray Grahams Ltd was awarded the prestigious Dewalt Premier Centre award and certification so we've got all the inside knowledge when it comes to pre-releases. This year we are expecting to see:

  • The Dewalt DCM561P1 18 Volt 5.0Ah XR Brushless Strimmer - This product has already been released and we actually were one of the first retailers to recieve it. This fantastic power tool uses the newer addition 5.0Ah XR Li-Ion battery to power it and of course it's cordless making strimming a whole lot easier.

  • The Dewalt DCF887P2 18 Volt 5.0Ah XR Brushless 2nd Generation Impact Driver- Due to be released in and around mid January of 2016 (we are still waiting on them arriving) the DCF887P2 2nd generation impact driver boasts alot more features than it's older counterpart and Dewalt have definitely incorporated some brand new tech. The specification alone far outweights older versions of this impact driver where it provides superior torque, speed, working life, performance and efficiency.

  • Dewalt DWS774 XPS Sliding Mitre Saw 1400W 216mm - This is not part of the XR cordless power tool range however Dewalt have redesigned their mitre saw model to boast superior features and performance. The model is due to be released late March of 2016 and will be coming in 110 volt and 240 volt models.

  • Dewalt DCP580P2 18 Volt 5.0Ah Cordless Brushless Planer - The highly anticipated cordless planer has been one of the most requested products throughout last year 2015. It is definitely highly sought after thanks to it's cordless facilities. Dewalt initially brought out a cordless planer a number of years ago but due to lack of development it didn't really take off. This model on the other hand has generated alot of excitment within the industry and has definitely got people talking. It is set to be released with a 5.0Ah 18 Volt battery and is compatible with the new XR tool connect bluetooth batteries as well as the older model 4.0Ah 18V batteries. It like most of the new products will be featuring a brushless motor to enhance performance and power tool durability. Due to be released at the start of March.

  • Dewalt DCK266D2B Hammer Drill Impact Driver with Bluetooth Batteries - This is a great looking kit from Dewalt. The kit includes the DCF887P2 2nd Generation Impact Drill and their DCD796 2nd Generation Combi Drill. The kit is set to be available for purchase at the start of March 2016 and will be integrating the top of the range Dewalt XR Connect bluetooth battery system, which allows you to manually control all your batteries from the touch of a mobile. The app supports Apple IOS, Android and Windows phones.

  • Dewalt DCD995P2B 18V 5.0Ah Brushless Hammer Drill and Bluetooth Batteries - Another cordless hammer drill that is anticipated to leave its mark around the world with professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike. Again the hammer drill incorporates brushless motor technology to provide improved performance and durability in comparison to older counterparts. It will be coming with the 5.0Ah Buetooth batteries giving a better scope of usability. We're expecting to recieve it at the end of January 2016.

  • Dewalt DWST1-71196 T-Stak Trolley with Folding Handle- This is the newest addition to the Dewalt T-Stak product range where they've gone to great lengths to design and construct smart storage solutions for professionals. It is fully compatible with previous and older T-Stak boxes and carry cases ensuring universality throughout the product range. The major difference between this model and older model trolleys is the telescopic folding arm that makes for an easy transport and storage solution.

  • Dewalt DCV100N 18V XR Compact Leaf Blower- This is the perfect garden tool which has been designed with professionals in mind. It produces a whopping 18,000 revolutions per minute (RPM) from its high power fan motor delivering a 80m/s air flow rate. Thats the equivalent of a small hurricane in a blower! It is due to be released any time now (Mid January).

Last BUT Not Least - The Dewalt DCS365M2 18 Volt Cordless Mitre Saw

As of recently there has been a massive influx of requests and general queries about the Dewalt DCS365M2. All we can do at the moment is eagerly await it's coming; which is estimated to be around the second week of February. BUT we are rather excited to see what happens. It will definitely make life easier for alot of professionals out there. Check out our sneak preview video of Anton using the DCS365M2 Cordless Mitre Saw.

To be true to Dewalts design nature they have produced the spectacular DCS365M2 Cordless Mitre Saw which we were lucky enough to get a preview and a test of in the 2015 Dewalt Expo and it packs a whole lot of goodies. Have a look:

Double Insulated Fan Motor: Most of us were probably expecting for the mitre saw to incorporate a brushless motor. However the DCS365 does still rely on a brushed motor technology, the reason been that because of it's intended use Dewalt couldn't afford to compromise on performance in the case of a brushless motor. It is however double insulated to reduce the loss of energy through heat and sound while it has interchangeable carbon brushes that makes for easy power tool maintenance.

Cutting at its best: The powerful cordless saw has been designed for the cutting in wood applications but most specifically has been geared towards the cutting of hardwoods. This means that it can be used throughout a huge variety of woods from soft to hard woods and from skirtings to doors.

Unique Cordless Design: This is definitely the best feature of the DCS365M2; thanks to it's cordless design there is no need for a transformer or internal plug to power the machine making it more portable.
