10 Festival Essentials from Ray Grahams
June's here so it's time for the summer festival season, kicking off next week with the Isle of Wight and Download festivals. You'll need to stock up on some essentials for yourself or any young ones heading off, so you can stay dry, comfortable and never too far away from a cuppa. We've had a look in the store and come up with ten items that could really help you out.

1. Wellie Boots

The must-have for any festivalgoer is a pair of good waterproof wellies. It's going to rain, and it's going to get muddy, and you better be prepared. We have wellies in different colours and sizes, full length and half, with toe caps if needed. The classic Town & Country pair is a good, strong mid-price all-rounder.

2. Waterproof Jacket

Continuing the theme of 'it's gonna rain', you'll need a good waterproof jacket like the Snickers and Herock ranges we stock. This Herock Poseidon is a top choice; it's multi-pocket, breathable, water-repellent and windproof, with a detechable zip hood.

3. LED Pull Light

Stay cosy and safe when it gets dark with this small, portable battery-powered LED light. Simply tie the adjustable cord up in your tent or camp area and pull it for a bright light. Comes in black, red and green colours.

4. Folding Chair

You can't be sitting in that horrible muddy ground, so it's a good idea to bring a lightweight folding chair to sit up and relax. This chair from Draper is made from water resistant canvas and comes with a compact storage bag with carry handle and draw string. And before you ask - yes, it has a cup holder.

5. Solar Mobile Charger

Phone batteries don't last long these days, so if you're away all weekend you'll need a way to keep it juiced up. Even if festivals provide charging stations, they're going to be madhouses. This unit is charged through solar works with common phone models. You can charge it up via USB before you leave to keep yourself covered.

6. Tea Flask & Cups

There's no need to completely sacrifice home comforts. At the end of a long day of dancing in the muck you're going to want a cuppa. This canvas cool bag includes a flask, 2 cups, sugar container and spoons, so yourself and a mate can have a cup of the good stuff.

7. Multi-Purpose Knife

This all-in-one pocket knife is the perfect 'just-in-case' item to pack. When you need it you'll need it. Includes scissors, wire cutter, blade, screwdrivers, saw, nail file, hook remover and, most importantly, a can opener and corkscrew. It's also got a fish scaler, because who knows.

8. Keep-It-Dry Bag

There's nothing more soul-destroying than returning to your tent to discover it's leaked and all your clothes are soaked. Keep everything snug and dry with Draper's dry bags, which come in a range of sizes, made from water-resistant polyester/PVC with watertight 'lock and roll' closure.

9. Disposable BBQ

You're going to need to keep energy levels up and on-site food is expensive. Bring along some well-wrapped meats and a disposable BBQ - this Landmann Grill BBQ can be started with a match and doesn't require any lighting aids.

10. Compact Gas BBQ

For a BBQ that you can use again and again, but is still light enough to carry to and from camp sites, there's Outback's Compact U. Fill it up with gas before you leave for 2 1/2 hours running time with the all-in-one gas ring, griddle and BBQ. You'll make friends quickly.
