  This large table saw is designed to be a permanent installation in medium or large workshops where it can also act as a work area so as not to take up too much horizontal space. The saw takes blades up to a maximum diameter of 250mm - this allows a maximum cutting height of 80mm, much more than other saws of this class. This blade is driven via a belt by a 2 horsepower induction motor that gives you fantastic performance with relatively little maintenance.
  
  This plugs into standard 230 Volt mains power socket, and has a maximum current draw of 9.1 Amps at full load. The power switch is a safety design that requires a flap to be lifted to start, with said flap being the stop switch. This can be operated with your hand as normal or your knee in an emergency. For safety, there is a no-volt release switch, also called an NVR. This prevents the saw from automatically spinning up again in the event that there is a power-cut. Instead, you have to first press the stop button before pressing the run button.
  
  As this comes with the large right hand extension table, you get an impressive 610mm of ripping capacity with the fence in place - that's 2 foot. The blade can be tilted all the way up to 45 degrees, where it can cut a height of 56mm. The saw table is manufactured from cast iron which has been finely ground, and weighs in at a total of 110 kg - giving a stable and secure platform not requiring fastening to the floor like portable table saws would need.
