Plunge saws like this are designed to allow superior quality cuts and unlike many normal circular saws, are designed to give a finish-ready cut. The GKT 18V-52 GC features an almost completely flat side which gives you the ability to put the blade just 10mm from the wall. This machine is lightweight yet part of the BiTurbo range of Bosch power tools that gives it corded-like performance whilst being completely portable. One of the amazing advantages of a plunge saw like this is that you can trim the bottom off a door without needing to rehang the door - a fantastic time saver.
This saw is supplied without any batteries or charger in order to keep the cost down for those wanting to add this to their collection who already have compatible Bosch 18 volt batteries for their other power tools. However it is supplied with a large LBoxx for even easier storage and transportation. This kit box will clip into place with other LBoxxes or LBoxx compatible trolleys. Without a guide rail attached, you can make a maximum depth of cut of 52mm, which is especially impressive considering the size of the blade, but is just another in the long list of advantages over normal circular saws.
