The DCV586 dust extractor is certified by the HSE for use on building sites thanks to its M-Classification. This class of dust extractor is defined by the maximum allowable dust escape through the filter (less than 0.1%). Another advantage is that there is an alarm that sounds if the vacuum pressure is reduced below safe levels. The system is ideal for vacuuming of soft or hardwoods, board materials, concrete or brick dust and solid surface materials.
One of the most fantastic features of this dust extractor is the built in wireless remote control system that allows you to start the extraction without needing to flip a switch on the machine itself. This is especially useful due to the long 2.5 metre length of extraction hose included in the kit. Most users find the remote control most useful strapped to the grip of their machine (such as rotary drill or mitre saw), where they are able to reach both the trigger for the powertool and the switch for the DCV586 dust extraction system.
The kit includes two 6.0Ah 54V XR FlexVolt batteries and a charger, but if you already have these we also have a Non-Kit Version available to allow further savings. Both versions come with a range of accessories which include the wireless key fob, 32mm 2.5m hose, 35mm AirLock adaptor, stepped rubber AirLock adaptor and fleece dust bag. We can also stock paper and fleece dust bag replacement packs.
The unit is constructed from 4mm thick reinforced polypropylene plastic which is impact and drop resistant. It is compatible both on the top and bottom with DEWALT's TSTAK system, which allows you to much more easily store and transport it from your van and around the site. The system is self cleaning with a cleaning cycle occurring every 30 seconds. The 2KW motor on the unit is the brushless type which allows it to be more energy efficient for longer runtime and requires less maintenance.
