When looking to buy a replacement door seal I found Ray Grahams to be the best option. It was easy to find and order the correct part at a reasonable price. It arrived on time and in good condition. The fitting instructions were clear and it is definitely an improvement on the old, worn seal.

Item arrived the day after order was placed, great service. Easily fitted following instructions on packaging. Following advice gleaned from the internet I cut to width plus 12mm and it fitted perfectly (I imagine the extra length was to allow for contraction during cold weather). Jury is still out on durability, but I hope it lasts considerably longer than the seal it replaced, which I sourced from a different supplier.

Keep the winter rain at bay

The Exitex threshold has kept the extreme weather conditions of the South West winter at bay.
As I am repainting the our handsome oak door which faces the south westerly gales, I thought I would replace the hard working back seal.
Excellent product and service from Ray Grahams even in these difficult times.

EXITEX REPLACEMENT RUBBER DOOR SEAL

EXITEX REPLACEMENT SEAL: 1 of the 3 rubber seals attached to the bottom of my composite front door was damaged/torn. Spent 6 hours searching the internet for an identical replacement seal as the profile is very unusual (I liken it to the shape of a cormorant).
I was ecstatic to discover that Ray Grahams's website sold the exact profile seal and the same brand as the original. At £4.79 plus £4.99 p&p much cheaper than a possible whole door replacement. The ordering process was quick and easy as they accept PAY PAL. Item arrived 4 working days later.
Product comes with Fitting Instructions (can also be found on the Ray Grahams's website within the product description). Very easy to do it myself (competent female DIYer).
Very happy with the service and product. Many thanks to Ray Grahams!

Worth the hassle

Firstly I ordered the wrong length so I am saving this one to replace the seal on the Macclex bar I have under another door! The longer seal I ordered for our front door subsequently came just as swiftly as the first and, after removing the door to trim and smoothly finish its lower edge (It had been badly finished by original installer) this seal was replaced into the aluminium extrusion's groove, with the help of a credit card edge, quite easily! Top marks for RG making it available, The carriage costs are obviously a little high - but that's where the business is making its profit I asume!

I emailed pictures of my ancient unbranded door threshold strip and this seal was suggested as a possible solution. I purchased the replacement seal and was not surprised to discover the seal fixing was too large to fit into the threshold, so I trimmed the length of the seal with scissors and after some effort managed to slide the seal into the the door threshold to effect a perfect air tight seal.

Exactly the product I needed with instructions as to how to replace old seal.

Good website, clearly displays products. Delivered quite quickly. The seals were a different design from the existing ones however they fitted the track and provided a good seal under the door. Just the job! Would use this company again.

This seal is different to the original but still fit to the threshold sill. It seems more flexible than the replaced item also. Purchased this seal from Ray Grahams online store and received the item very quickly. I now have a door with no draughts.

My order was delivered promptly and the seals were the same style as the worn out existing ones and were easily changed. It was just a shame that the seal is not sold in a rolled length which I could have cut to size. I had to buy 7 to replace the 4 longer seals.

Super stuff . . .only comment, as I said when I placed the order, it's a shame the replacements dont come in longer lengths (after all they're easy to snip with scissors). My door width is 1380mm you see . . . or 1280mm, cant remember, anyway . . . it's great to have stopped the draught with the replacement seal, thank you !
